TGM Lounge for MadeHere PDX
MadeHere PDX, 40 NW 10th Ave, Portland
Last month we've teamed up with MadeHere PDX, a showroom presenting design focused, fashionable product entirely designed and manufactured in Portland, to create for them a lounge and play area highlighting our new TGM Studio Line.
With honest materials, straightforward lines, and playful attitude, the TGM Studio Line presents high quality functionality that is fit to match its calling. Our Ping Pong Conference Tables are made of solid hardwood construction on legs that are designed and fabricated in house. Our Plywood Lounges have been developed as flat-packable and versatile pieces, for variable office work (and lounge) scenarios. Solid russian birch construction matched with high-quality upholstery and ergonomic design give these pieces longevity in high-traffic spaces while maintaining their simple elegance.

TGM in Portland OR is on the Move and Delivering Worldwide
Since the inception of The Good Mod by Spencer Scott Staley, we have experienced a high demand for both our amazing restoration services, as well as our newly developed product line.
Our restoration expert truly gives your Vintage Piece a New Life. This vintage design was passed down in our Client's family, was injected with precision and patience. By offering a sensitive touch on a new veneer top and full restoration on the frame, you would think this table was brand new.

The Ping Pong table has grown waves since the initial design, and is now being requested all over the World. With shipments going to Italy, New York, Nantucket and beyond TGM is making it's way to a Global Brand based right here in Downtown Portland OR!
Our latest Ping Pong custom table destined to a private home in Nantucket, our team worked remotely with the designer to create a White Oak Inlay rather then Metal, and a customized powder coat finish on the legs. The top is Black Walnut, creating a delicate contrast on this Solid Wood Top.

SCULPTURAL ILLUSIONS AT TGM
Artists Spencer Scott Staley and Zach Dougherty are mixing up science and art with visual objects and interventions. Using a 3-D scanning technique developed by Zach and intuitive experimentation by Spencer this styrofoam sculpture will trick your eyes!

The Good Mod is a place of productivity and exploration in the techniques and tools of digital fabrication.

CNC milled subtractive sculptural methods.

The nuances of form are accentuated by shadow. This play of light created by the recess in the styrofoam gives the illusion of the Bust protruding out.

THE ARTWORK CYCLE
Artworks created by thirty homeless children and internationally acclaimed artists Chris Johanson and Johanna Jackson are taking on a new life. The initial artwork was made in Portland through the facilities of TMT Development, and in partnership with New Avenues for Youth.

The artwork entitled Billions and Billions of People is now being cut into size-able artworks for people to purchase for their homes. They will be auctioned off from New Avenues for Youth and The Good Mod was able to help this become a reality!

The panels once used to hide an embarrassing construction site were strategically cut down to form the new artworks.

The event features a DJ, signature cocktails, and Billions and Billions merchandise available for purchase. All proceeds benefit New Avenues for Youth’s services for foster, at-risk and homeless youth.
