Fiberglass rocking armchairs by Charles & Ray Eames. An absolute classic, and one of the Eames’ best-known designs. The DAX, the full-height chair version of the RAR, was originally designed in metal for MoMA’s International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design in 1948, and in 1950 the material was changed to fiberglass. The deep seat pocket and waterfall seat edge keep you comfortable by reducing pressure on the backs of thighs. The base frame is chromed steel and rocker arms are walnut. Shells are original, bases are new. If you are looking to purchase one, please specify whether you prefer a maple or walnut base.
Price per chair.
