This rocker came to exist because of a 1960's Peace Corps initiative to aid local crafts people in Ecuador. Through the assistance of Scandinavian designers, locals were able to produce and export furniture using local woods and hand tooled leather. The chair is held together with simple wooden pegs, intended to break down for easy shipment. Light restoration, and ebonized finish. Features brand new leather seat and backrest.
