Born in Nebraska, lived in Chicago for 8 years and now Portland for 3 years
What’s your background?
I went to school for Journalism, spent a 12 year career in Advertising and switched it all about a year and a half ago to explore a career in furniture. It’s been the best move I ever made.
How do you work?

What art do you most identify with?
A simple and classic design with pieces that I can picture in my life
What work do you most enjoy doing?
A great restoration there’s a thrill in seeing the potential of a piece come back to life.
What themes do you pursue?
Gingham. Hair Bands. Fancy.
How has your practice changed over time?
My creative practice is fairly new and changing constantly with experience. My other half, the project management, is a game of anticipation and I’m excited to get to use these skills on projects I love.
Describe a real life situation that inspired you?
Any kind of collective experience is a real mover for me. I am always inspired by human kindness.
Professionally what’s your goal?
To enjoy a life that’s full of inspiring work and laughter and be able to take the time to travel and still be excited to get back to what I love
